Personal Library and Listen need your own Google Cloud account

Both run on your computer and call Google's AI with your own key, so usage is billed by Google to you rather than to us. Setup takes a few minutes and we provide video instructions.

Personal Library runs on your choice of three Gemini models, from $0.30 to $2.00 per million input tokens depending on how much capability you want, with a free tier on the Flash models for trying it out. Listen's first million characters each month are free as well (enough for a 300-page book). Past that, narration runs about $30 per million characters, so a long book is roughly $16-22 and a 1,000-page volume $54-75.
